Dad’s come in all guises, but we can all agree that whatever we choose to call them and whatever their relationship to us, they are our own everyday heroes. It’s always great to be able to celebrate this and is no doubt why we have adopted this special day from our American cousins.
Every year the date for Father’s Day shifts about so we are here to remind you that this year it is Sunday 16 June 2019. Luckily this is a Sunday that Stotfold Watermill is open for business.
So why not bring Dad along for a day out exploring the Mill and the array of mechanical equipment on display. Come and see the widest overshot corn mill waterwheel in the country at 4.2 metres wide and a remnant of the original upright shaft and diesel engine used to power the mill machinery in the early 1950’s. And those are just for starters! Volunteers are on hand and happy to talk about the exhibits and equipment on display so Dad will be sure to receive a warm welcome.
And saving the best news for last, entry to Stotfold Watermill on this date is free so you could treat Dad to something special from the Tea Room or a memento of your visit from the Kingfisher Shop. At any rate we hope that spending Father’s Day with us will provide you and your dad with a very happy memory of a wonderful day out.

For those with a tendency to forget these things just remember this – Father’s Day is always celebrated on the third Sunday of June, you’re welcome !!
