With just days to go now till two of Stotfold Watermill’s calendar highlights we’re ready for a spectacular weekend, are you?

Live@The Mill

Kicking us off on Friday 10 May this ever-popular gig is once again being held in the Beer Marquee at the showground. With the welcome return of indie/rock covers band Allergy rock covers band ChromeS joining us for the first time, the stage is set for another brilliant night of live rock.

Steam Fair and Country Show

The Steam Fair and Country Show will take place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May. There’s an action-packed programme on both days with a variety of fantastic arena events. Stunt teams, Viking battle re-enactments, dog display teams, Captain Neville’s Flying Circus and much, much more.

Saturday should also see a flypast by an RAF Battle of Britain Spitfire (flight commitments and weather conditions permitting).  Steam parades on each day, traction engine tugs of war, trade and craft stalls and a free kid’s zone, there really is something for everyone.

Whatever the Weather

We’re also keeping an eye on the weather. A quick look at the BBC Weather App (other weather predicting apps are of course available) shows Saturday and Sunday looking fine and dry so visit our website and take advantage of discounted advance tickets.

A Day Out to Remember

Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly fun and lively day out or you’re a steam enthusiast with a love of the spectacle and majesty of these magnificent engines, come along to Stotfold Steam Fair and Country Show, we look forward to seeing you!

One more small thing, you may not know that the entire show weekend is organised and run by our volunteers and we shouldn’t forget the huge effort it takes to put on such a spectacular event. Am sure most volunteers would agree though that any thoughts of the efforts that have gone before melt away at 10.30am each day when the impressive Steam Up reminds us all why people travel from far and wide to join us for a day out to remember.
