WW1 – 1918 Commemorative Exhibition

Once again the Mill will be presenting an exhibition, jointly with The Royal British Legion, to commemorate 100 years on from the final year of World War 1. In 1918 Russia pulled out of the War to deal with its own internal problems, enabling Germany to launch a final push on the Western Front. But as American troops flooded in to join the Allies, the tide began to turn and victory finally won. Learn more about these dramatic events and some of the amazing stories from that time. We will also be telling the story of how aerial warfare developed during WW1, leading to the establishment of the Royal Air Force on 1st April 1918.
