Wildlife Pastel Workshop
9th Jun 2018
with Geoff Hoile
Geoff is the Mill’s resident artist and his exceptional work can be seen throughout the building. He works oils and pastels, but has developed a real love for pastel work due to its versatility and particular suitability for wildlife paintings. Geoff has generously offered his time and considerable experience free of charge. All profits from this workshop will be going to the Stotfold Mill Preservation Trust.
The workshop will start with a ‘rough guide’ on the basics of materials, techniques, framing and storage, including an exercise in colour matching.
The bulk of the workshop will be painting a red squirrel. Geoff will be offering advice and help on an individual basis throughout the session.
Designed for 8-9 people the price includes two sheets of Geoff’s preferred pastel paper and the practice paper, but you will need to bring your own pastels etc. A material and equipment list will be provided on enrolment.
Light refreshments and biscuits are provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
