It’s your chance to see a collection of steam-driven machinery that changed the face of rural life!

On display will be working steam-driven machines for ploughing, threshing and harvesting, that revolutionised farming in the 19th century. These faster more efficient methods meant that bread, the staple food for most of the population, was more affordable. Watch the threshed grain being conveyed to the Mill, to be ground into Stotfold Mill’s quality stone-ground floor as it has been for centuries. The flour is available to purchase from the Mill’s Gift Shop.
