Being a mill we are, of course, organised on several floors, and most areas are safely accessible to the general public. This enables us to run specialised courses, like milling, and provide general room hire for conferencing, training, etc.
We have a gift shop and, on the first floor, a tea room which offers refreshments and comfortable seating. They are both open at various times throughout the season.
We also host the local art group, and many examples of their work are on display around the various rooms.
There is disabled access to all public areas (a modern lift is installed!) and we comply with all relevant health and safety requirements. We have
fully approved and updated Fire Extinguishers with the correct notices etc. and have had Chubb Fire Protection installed. In the event of a fire, the Fire Brigade is automatically contacted through the RedCare monitoring system.
CCTV Security Cameras are installed and in operation on the premises (courtesy Kevin Balderstone).
We are a working flour mill, and would remind potential visitors who may suffer from wheat or flour-related allergies of this. |
